The Possimpible

Being on campus for the summer means free access to the gym and other facilities to work out in. Awesome. Love being back. 

Just prepared and packed my lunch for tomorrow. First day as an intern and first day gaining experience for the rest of my life. I am really scared and nervous. I don’t want to mess up and I hope that I do a good job. Tomorrow is a lot of orientation stuff I have been told so I am not sure how much stuff I will actually be doing that is hands on ( if anything at all). I assume for the first few days it will just be me performing observations of what goes on in the labs by those who actually work there. It is so crazy though, I can’t believe I actually have an internship. I remember in the fall, I told myself I would not settle for anything this summer that did not pertain to my major, and here I am. Working with my professor is probably the scariest part because I don’t want to make him think I am stupid. I think that is everyone’s worst fear when doing these types of things, but I can’t help but be nervous. I just want to make sure that I am fit for what I want to do. 

In my apartment where I will be for the summer to do my internship at the forensic lab in the city here. I am really excited for because it is my first real work experience related to actually getting a job once I graduate. Scary, but exciting at the same time. It feels so weird to be here after classes are over and school is now going into its summer session of classes. I have never done this before so it is a whole new experience for me in college life. Central New York is so beautiful in the summer time. There is so much green I could get lost in it, and I probably will when I go on adventures with my roommate. Adventures- definitely what I am excited for most of all this summer. I have so many plans and I have never been this excited for it. I will have a good group of friends around me this summer and that will be so exciting.

• Hiking through state parks
• Taking pictures
• Walking through parks and sitting around lakes
• Finding hidden beauties around the city 
• Going to Chicago to see my friend
• A couple concerts (Maybe, not sure on this one yet)
• New York State Fair!!!( really really excited for this one)
• 21st Birthday!!!!
• Canada/ Niagra Falls
• Six Flags Great Adventure
• Reading and relaxing
• Little science projects and building things
• Decorating my room a little more
• Sunsets
• Swimming
• Great weather

I hereby call Summer 2013 the summer of adventure.
